Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS)
IS-100:
Introduction to Incident Command System (ICS)

- CERT Command Post operations
Review and exercise necessary
skills for managing a CERT-based response.
- Advanced Medical Treatment
Refresher course on disaster
medical treatment, including triage and establishing a medical
treatment location.
- Vehicle Damage Assessment
Training and exercise on how to
conduct a "drive by" damage assessment of ESCA cities. The
information provided by CERT Leaders will help the Emergency
Operations Center prioritize response and recovery activities.
- Hazardous Materials Recognition
Recognizing and minimizing
dangers from hazardous materials in day-to-day lives. A
special emphasis is placed on chemicals in the home.
- Electrical Safety
Taught by the utility companies, this
awareness course provides a graphic demonstration on electrical
dangers and how to minimize those dangers.
- Search and Rescue
Taught by the Snohomish County Sheriff's
Search and Rescue Team, the class reviews concepts of urban grid
search patterns and learns how to work more effectively with the
Search and Rescue Team if the Leaders are activated.
